I am very pleased with WH400HWA washer I does what is says. The deliver company lied that we were not home. So we sat home for three days not a great start. The soap dispenser has a faulty design. Need to remember not to open it all the way. We have the cleanest floor for all the messes I cleaned up it because it dumps all the soap on the floor I have saved much money not using bleach. Not because we dont need it when we do we have bleach spots our clothes. We love our washer I just need some learning

I bought this as a replacement for a washing machine that I had that was only 2 1/2 years old. That was a different brand. I wish I wouldve bought this right from the start. I purchased this from Best Buy in in January 2021 and in March 2023 basically two years later we had a leak randomly out of the front of the machine that went all over our laundry room and multiple other rooms. Didnt anticipate issues so soon after purchase and certainly didnt expect the machine to get stuck on a continuous fill cycle and flood itself and all of our neighboring rooms.

Machine is nice buying on LG.com was awful

Worst appliance buying experience Ive ever had. Website provides inconsistent information and delivery communications were dreadful one voice automated voice mail and two emails said they were delivering that day two phone calls said next week but the emails came AFTER my first call. Delivery guys gouge my floor and wall and although I paid for installation they did not complete installation taskjust hooked up the water hoses. Didnt even insert the drain hose into the drain I called LG to complain and they blamed the delivery company and said they couldnt do anything. In the terms and conditions for this review LG said to avoid comment about customer service but to call LG instead. Yeah right. I dont agree to that particular term.

Not impressed- loud and not flexible options

The LG 4000 washing machine is frustrating because I want to quickly select particular water fill amount temperature spin speed amount of time for cycle etc. and I find myself dialing through all the different cycle options to find out which ones have the temps and options Im needing. Then once a type of cycle is selected I can only change a few of the options but not all and it takes a few minutes after starting to find out the cycle duration- so then I often press stop and start over if it is estimated to take too long over an hour or so. The washer is also noisy throughout the cycles. Disappointed.

Malfunctions and No Support

We were thrilled with our washer until it started getting a SUD too much suds error message extending wash times by 2 hours. Weve spent nearly on thousand dollars on repair people and still get the message and delay even when we wash with no detergent at all. The sensor is broken or dirty but repair support repeatedly accuses us of not using the correct detergent. Its really frustrating expensive and looks like the only fix is to buy a new machine because LG is not capable of facilitating cleaning or replacement of failed sensors.

Poor is not low enough for this machine design

Ive had this washer for just 2 months but discovered it will leak a lot if too much detergent is used and too much is less than the amount indicated as max. If its this fussy about the amount of detergent then the machine should be doing the measuring I shouldnt have to guess.

The entire experience was great until we used the washer. Great staff at Best Buy friendly yet very professional and it made our decision easy after visiting several other stores. The delivery was right on time and all went very well. When we started using the washer we heard a loud squeal coming from the water pipes probably the hot water line. At first it sounded like an animal was being ripped apart outside the house but we quickly determined that it was coming from the water line. I dont know what causes this but it makes the same noise every time we use the washer. I am calling Best Buy to try to determine what went wrong with the installation and well see what they have to say.

This is our second LG washer the first lasted 14 years without repair. We bought this one about 1 month ago and it is outstanding. Very quiet wash and steam cycles are excellent. Price was one of the lowest we found also. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I been using this machine for about 2 weeks now. Too many features that Im not sure how to use. Been using basic functions only. Only complaint is that seems to be no dome light. The machine is in the garage and its hard to see inside when getting clothes out.

I bought this washer just over a month ago after doing much research and asking people I know that have LG washers. Not this model but LG just the same. It has been a treat to use Its such fun doing laundry now that I walk around the house thinking what can I wash todayI HAHA I wanted a washer large enough for blankets and comforters. I have used it for blankets and have been very happy with it. I have 2 large dogs and 2 cats so it was important that the washer could handle extra hair. When I took one of the dog blankets out of the washer there were several little hair buttons that made it very easy to dispose of before putting the blanket in the dryer. I did purchase the matching dryer and had them stacked in my utility room. Very nice even if I need to stand on a small stool to reach the controls. I am not complaining at all its just a fact. Highly recommend

Love the increased tub size over previous washer

The increase in tub capacity surprised me. My 12-year old Bosch washer seemed large at the time but now I can do 1 1/2 loads at a time and get through the laundry much faster - always a plus as my machines are in my cold garage But it feels like the completed wash cycle is slightly wetter than the old Bosch. Not by much but noticeable. With the increased new tub size I might just need a larger new LG dryer - and matching laundry pieces are always an esthetic plus. Even if they are in the garage.

We bought this washer to replace our old one that broke and so far we are pretty happy with it. It is large quiet and has many different programs such as towels and bedding that hopefully wash the clothes better and maintain the machine working for longer too. I still have to try the remote start which is interesting feature

Washer for the times

I had purchased this washer for my sister A couple days later it came on sale for $300 less and I called but they would not give lower price. I asked if hoses were included and was told yes as it had installation included. No hoses were with it and the delivery hooked up the water hoses from my old machine The drainage hose does not reach so trying to find one that will fit. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Poor performance due to shipping damage

Set arrived as expected except the washer had a good sized dent in the rear right corner about 6 in. From top. The installer and I decided the dent was cosmetic and installation was completed. Immediately the wife disliked the dark tinted glass as she couldnt see what was happening inside. The washer made a clunk every time the drum reversed. Also it would vibrate violently during spin cycle no matter how many times load was adjusted. I believe shipping damage was more than cosmetic. No replacement was available for that model. We were also not happy with the way Costco Online wanted to handle the replacement. We ultimately did a complete return and ordered 4500 series which has interior light plus many better features. Upgraded set priced at additional 1000 for full set however first set was deeply discounted special for Black Friday.

Great machine. The large door greatly helps clothes loading and unloading. The drum is tilted down and to the rear. So clothes ends up towards back and bottom after cycle completes. But I guess the orientation is better for water drainage. WiFi set up and product registration is a little problematic with regards to network connection not being strong enough. My router is 15 f away. But this problem is common to my LG dryer and refrigerator.
